Description

Clump forming plant to 60 cm with hairy, dark green, pinnate basal leaves. The flowers are usually red or orange but sometimes yellow. Many cultivars occur, some being double forms.

Not well recorded in the wild in Britain.

VC55 Status

Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known. It was not recorded in the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire, and is not listed in the current VC55 checklist (Jeeves, 2011).
