Description

An annual resupinate corticoid with tooth like projections on the cream-coloured fertile surface.  It is very variable.  

Similar Species

Toothed porecrust (Basidioradulum radula) and other dentate corticoids are very similar, and microscopic examination may be needed to separate them.

Habitat

On dead wood, usually of deciduous trees.

When to see it

All year round.

Widespread and fairly frequent in Britain.
