Lasiobelonium variegatum

The fruit bodies consist of a brownish pink fertile inner surface, margins with straight, reddish brown hairs and exteriors covered with similar hairs, but twisted. They have short stalks and grow in small, but dense groups on their host. (Up to 1.5 mm diameter.)

Found growing on dead wood from deciduous trees and also on woody herbaceous stems which have fallen into dampness.

They fruit from late winter until early summer.
