Clubiona subtilis

Description

Length 2-4mm. Prosoma light brown to brown. Chelicerae red-brown. Legs light yellow. Opisthosoma light brown to brown.

Habitat

A wetland species of bogs, wet meadows and reedbeds. Little is known of the ecology of this species. 

When to see it

Adults of both sexes have been recorded almost throughout the year, but mainly in spring/early summer and the autumn.

UK Status

Widespread but local in East Anglia, near the coast in Wales and south-eastern England, and on southern heathlands, but records elsewhere are very scattered. 

VC55 Status

Rare.
