Arge fuscipes
Description
7-11mm. A black species with the fused antennae of Arge species. The forewings have a black smudge below the dark stigma and the costa is dark.
Similar Species
Other black Arge species.
Habitat
Larvae feed on poplars and willows.
When to see it
Adult: May-June
UK Status
Uncommon but widespread.
VC55 Status
Uncommon.
