Dicranopalpus caudatus

Description

Body length 3-6mm, long legs, forked pedipalps.
Mistaken for Dicranopalpus ramosus until a paper was published in 2015 which described Dicranopalpus caudatus as a separate species. Recording Dicranopalpus caudatus rather than Dicranopalpus ramosus agg. requires microscopic examination of the features detailed in this paper: Wijnhoven, H., & Prieto, C. E. (2015). Dicranopalpus caudatus Dresco, 1948: Not a synonym of Dicranopalpus ramosus (Simon, 1909) but a valid species after all (Arachnida, Opiliones).
