Hydrotaea cyrtoneurina
Like other Hydrotaea species, this is predominently black or dark brown. Males have an indented front femor which is typical of the genus.

- front femora modified with short peg-like spine
- eyes hairy, length > diameter of the anterior ocellus
- mid femora without flattened dorsal setae at apex
- hind femora without ventral setae
- hind tibia straight
- hind femora with rows of 8-10 av and pv setae
- eyes separated at narrowest point by > 2x anterior ocellus
Uncommon but widespread in England and Wales, few records in Scotland.
Rare or under-recorded.
