Malthinus balteatus

Description

Size 3 to 4mm. The greyish brown elytra bear a pair of yellow spots. Other members of this family look very similar and care is needed with identification.

Favours damp, broad-leaved woodland.

Occasional in Leicestershire & Rutland.
