Phytomyza petoei
The larvae of the fly Phytomyza petoei mine the leaves of Clinopodium, Melissa (Balm) and Mentha (Mints). The mine usually starts with a dark spot, then becomes an irregular linear mine, often then forming a secondary blotch.
