Alabonia geoffrella
Common Tubic
Wingspan 17-21 mm. A spectacular day-flying species, with its combination of rufous, white and metallic blue markings and remarkably large labial palps.

Inhabits woodland and marshy places.
Flies during May and June.
It occurs reasonably commonly in England and Wales. In the Butterfly Conservation's Microlepidoptera Report 2011 this species was classified as common.
Quite uncommon in Leicestershire and Rutland.
