This fascinating and historic site has now been set up as a Wild Place - see Lea Meadows. This Wildlife Trust reserve is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Located near to Bradgate Park, it is part of a mediaeval assart and contains a wonderful array of wildflowers. More...

The meadows are usually grazed by cattle but this year much of the area is being left as a hay crop so the flowers ar at their best - visit before its cut!

The site is open to the public. Visit the Lea Meadows Wild Places page for further details.
