Thick-leaved Stonecrop - Sedum dasyphyllum

A small, low growing, succulent plant with ascending stems readily rooting at the base which provide an anchorage. It has broad grey-green leaves and small whitish flowers. Like many of the Stonecrop family it can be mat forming in suitable conditions.

A garden plant which has become naturalised and typically grows on the crumbling surfaces of old walls. It may also be found in quarries, cemeteries and on limestone rocks.

Occasional as a naturalised plant, mainly recorded from the southern half of Britain.

Rarely recorded in Leicestershire and Rutland.
