Description

Males: 2.25 to 2.6 mm, females: 2.5 to 3.0 mm.

  • TmI: 0.58 to 0.68
Recording advice

Confirmation requires microscopic examination of the genitalia of adult specimens.

Habitat

Favours Gorse but can also be found on Hawthorn and Blackthorn.

When to see it

Spring to autumn.

UK Status

Widespread in southern Britain. 

VC55 Status

Widespread but local in Leicestershire and Rutland.
