Dasineura gleditchiae
The larva of the gall midge Dasineura gleditchiae causes galls to form on the Honey Locust Tree (Gleditsia triacanthos). The leaflets become thickened and folded to form pods up to 10 mm long, often becoming reddened, each containing several orange larvae.

Introduced from North America and established in the south of England, now spreading north. It is not well recorded in Britain, so true status is difficult to determine.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
