Holly Blue

Holly Blue

This lovely butterfly is a common sight in gardens. It emerges in Spring and can be found around trees and bushes where it breeds on Holly. A second caterpillar brood later in the year feeds on Ivy. This one was photographed in Glen Parva along the riverside.
