Teigh Churchyard
Selected Wild Place / Other Wild Places / Public Rights of Way / VC55 boundary
Teigh is equidistant from both the A606 and the A1 so the route depends on the direction of approach, but the simplest access is from the A1.
Exit west onto Hooby Lane, then take the right fork onto New Road. Follow this road through Thistleton, and then through Market Overton. Finally, follow Teigh road into the village of Teigh. The church is situated on Main Street, which is a quick left turn as you enter the village. The churchyard is soon visible on the right of the big curve in the road.
Limited layby parking is available on the north edge of the churchyard, as well as some roadside parking in the village. As always, please be mindful of residents and signage.
The RF2 bus (Centrebus) passes from Teigh, stopping at The Green, which is on the corner of Main Street.

Teigh is a small village 5 miles north of Oakham and Rutland Water. The church was mostly rebuilt in 1782, but the base of the tower has survived from the 13th century with some 14th century work above. The churchyard can seen in its entirety from the road that winds around the perimeter due to the low wall and minimal foliage, but there are also a few mature trees and a large area of wildflowers to the back end of the churchyard.
