Luffenham Road directly exits the A47 north of Barrowden, and the verges are immediately either side of the road for 200 metres.
The nearest roadside parking is in the village of Barrowden, roughly a 5-minute walk away. Please be mindful of residents and signage when parking here.

Site species count:
First designated as a Local Wildlife Site in 2003, the verge is comprised of mixed grassland (mesotrophic and calcareous) and is a linear habitat over 200m long (on both sides of the road).
Recorded species include: Agrimony, Common Bird’s-foot Trefoil, Black Knapweed, Field Scabious, Lady’s Bedstraw, Meadow Buttercup, Red Clover, Field Scabious, Greater Knapweed, Hoary Plantain, and Wild Basil.
In addition, Glow Worms Lampryis noctiluca have been recorded in the verge.
