Knighton Wild AGM and Leicestershire and Rutland Local Nature Recovery Strategy
The Lounge, Knighton Parish Centre, Church Lane, Knighton, Leicester LE2 3WG
Knighton Wild's AGM will be on Thursday 21st April 2025 at 7.30 pm in the Lounge at Knighton Parish Centre on Church Lane. After the short business part of the meeting, Paul Killip will be speaking about the Leicestershire and Rutland Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). Paul has led the process of creating the LNRS, initially talking to landowners, environmental groups and local authorities and developing an understanding of the current state of nature in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. He developed the draft strategy, which lays out actions to improve nature in the City and Counties. He led the public consultation on the the document, which has now been formally approved, so we can expect to see actions based on this strategy taking place across the area. Paul says, "The LNRS has now been officially approved after a lengthy approval process and public consultation. We're now transitioning to delivery, and I will be able to share some exciting updates with you very soon." We look forward to hearing about the strategy, which is going to be the major influence on actions for wildlife in City and Counties.
