Training Workshop: Harvest Mouse Survey

End time

Watermead Country Park North, Reedbed Nature Reserve car park
First car park on right at Wanlip Road entrance

This training event is aimed at people who want to learn how to survey for Harvest mice.  A short introduction to Harvest mouse ecology and behaviour will be followed by a field session in how to search for and identify harvest mice nests.  People will then complete surveys of parts of the reserve to establish if harvest mice are present or absent.

The event links to the national Harvest mouse survey run by the Mammal Society and will enable people to be given additional areas in which to survey and see if Harvest mice are present.

To book please email LandRmammals@gmail.com

This is a free event, but a donation of £3.00 pp is appreciated to help the local mammal group. 50% of this will go to the Mammal Society
