Twycross Zoo, Burton Road, Atherstone, CV9 3PX. Currently there is no public transport to the site but parking is free at the zoo.
The Nature Reserve is signposted, located off the middle car parks. The gates are open during normal zoo hours. Entry is free to the Nature Reserve.

Twycross Zoo Nature Reserve is a wildlife haven in an agricultural matrix, covering 20,000m² (5 acres). Adjacent to the zoo, it was designed to also serve as a water treatment system that uses natural processes to clean the water that flows through the 19- pond complex. It boasts a mosaic of habitats including ponds, wildflower meadows and mature hedgerows, and has a hide to enable bird watching by the largest pond.
The mosaic of habitats in Twycross Zoo Nature Reserve provide a safe haven for a wide range of wildlife including mammals (e.g. bats, shrews, voles, polecats, foxes, badgers); dragonflies, damselflies, bees and other invertebrates; amphibians, reptiles, fungi, lichens, and countless flowering plants that transform the fields and the edges of the ponds from spring to autumn.
An annual butterfly transect routinely records over 20 species of butterflies, and the bird transect identified over 40 species during its first year including birds of prey, passerines & waterbirds.
