Our Species Library just keeps on expanding and now features over 2500 different wildlife species. During June we added 31 moth species and 29 wildflowers, including Pyramidal Orchid and Deadly Nightshade. More...

A record 128 new species were added in June with moths leading the way with 610 different species. The NatureSpot species library only includes photographs taken in Leicestershire and Rutland so represents a genuine record of local wildlife. We welcome new additions, not just of new species, but of any images that can add to, or improve, our existing collection and help build up a useful reference guide. In particular we are keen to add images that illustrate key identification features or show different life stages and seasonal variation.
