Trapelia placodioides
Thallus crustose, often thick, white or pinkish. It may vary from smooth to rather cracked in appearance. Soredia produced at areole margins or across the thallus surface, cream to yellowish, pale green or pink, rather coarse.
On siliceous rocks and stonework.
All year round.
Widespread and locally frequent in Britain.
Status in Leicestershire and Rutland not known.
