Smoky Spindles - Clavaria fumosa
Club-shaped, unbranched spindles with rounded or pointed tips, often twisted. They are a smoky greyish colour, sometimes with pinkish or yellowish tones.
Similar to white spindles - which can discolour as it ages, and look similar.
Photograph the fruiting bodies in their habitat. We recommend that your record is verified by an expert before submission to NatureSpot; you may need to retain a specimen in case this is needed for verification.
