I found this partial chrysalis case hanging from a crack willow in Willesley Woods. It is 24 mm long. I wondered what kind of moth it might have belonged to. It looked interestingly hairy. Any help appreciated.

From an online search, it looks like Black Arches: https://www.ukmoths.org.uk/species/lymantria-monacha/pupa/
Gypsy Moth is in the same genus and has quite a similar pupa but probably doesn't breed in this area.
